Description: As a tribute to Locomotive 483, (the operating locomotive for the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad in 1970) locomotive 484 will be painted up and ready to roll out as Locomotive 483. The commemorative 483 Working Freight Special will consist of original D&RGW freight and rider boxcars, an open gondola and an D&RGW caboose. This re-enactment run will be nothing short of amazing and a legendary photo opportunity! Passengers of the 483 Working Freight Special can anticipate priceless photo runs, rendezvous with the Galloping Goose No. 5 and the San Juan Express passenger trains. Trains leave from and return to Antonito, CO.
