Here is what some of our guests have written about their stay at Narrow Gauge Railroad Inn. We invite you to share your experience with us as well.
“Close to the New Mexico-Colorado border and we could use it as a base camp to hunt both states. The rooms were nice and very reasonable. The people were very friendly and the hunting and scenery was great. We will be back in the summer to ride the narrow gauge steam train that winds through the mountains and goes places we couldn’t get to with our atv’s.” — Scott
“Very nice clean room. Convient to Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. – Also a good base for side trips to Rio-Grande Gorge,Taos and the Great Sand Dunes National Monument – Also good mountain fishing. Prices were significantly less than similar accomodations in Taos, Alamosa or Chama. Try the local restaurants in “downtown Antonito” (no traffic lites just a little stretch of road.) Very good authentic Mexican food.” — WorldTravler1956 Wisconsin
“We decided to ride the Cumbres & Toltec Train from the Antonito side after seeing it on a program on PBS and found beautiful scenery and a fantastic ride. This motel was built when Colorado decided to reopen the old Narrow Gauge train route to Chama in the 1970s and has been the only place in town to remain open and operational. Very nice – peaceful – convenient for train boarding too.” — WITrails, Milwaukee, WI
